All companies offer several promotional Prepaid-Packages.

Postpaid contracts for foreigners are only available with a work-permit.

GPRS/EDGE

TRUE ist quite expensive with its prepaid data tarifs (based on data transfer). For postpaid customers a flatrate is available.
DTAC and AIS offer cheap packages for prepaid (AIS: 10 hours/month at 50 Bt/month)

In many computer shops, USB Sim-Card Adapters are available for GPRS and Edge.

Fixed Line & ADSL

International Calls

Dial-Prefix 001 ist the most epensive, 008 or 009 are much cheaper.

To make international calls, you have to dial: prefix + country code + city code (without the leading "0") + telephone number
Example: 009 49 30 1234567,  009=Prefix, 49= Country code 30=city code

If you choose 001 as international dial prefix from you fixed line or post-paid mobile phone, you will receive a seperate invoice for your international calls only!

Internet Packages for dial-up connections are offered by serveral service providers. They are easily available at computer shops and Internet shops.
Internet Shops can be found nearly everywhere in Khon Kaen. Prices are as low as 15 Bt/hour.
WLAN is offered by the bigger hotels and serveral restaurant.
Free of charge at Duans Restaurant or Kiwi Cafe.

TRUE offers some interesting Combi-Packages for Telephone and UBC.
